The Line Between Fact and Fiction...

Well, that line can be very thin... at least in one's mind.

I was just at home eating lunch, and I decided to flip over to Food TV (some of my readers will remember from an earlier post that I have a mental love affair with Giada De Laurentiis - the host of Everyday Italian).

So when I flipped to channel 52, Giada was explaining what she would be creating today... and it looked good, so I decided to watch some more.

As she was preparing the meal, she explained that it was a picnic with a steak pasta salad... and some other things I didn't get to see her make. And she kept referring to Todd. She was cooking the steak medium rare because Todd likes it that way... she was using basil and parsley because Todd likes basil and parsley... she was packaging the food to take it to "Todd's office.

Unfortunately, I was watching the show alone and could not share the humor with anyone... so you all get to be in on the joke.

Maybe I should follow in this guy's footsteps.

Ok, I know this isn't your point, but I just have to ask - is Drew Barrymore really that desirable? I mean, she's cute I guess but do men generally agree on her universal appeal?

I don't think it is generally true among men... but she is up there in my book. I have talked to a number of guys who disagree with me, though...

I think there's a marked difference in the level of attraction of Drew Barrymore the person versus Drew Barrymore the character. There are any number of reasons why I wouldn't want Drew Barrymore the person as a significant other. However, her personna, that which she projects, her image, if you will, has some endearing qualities (not including the dancing on desks, of course). Mainly, I think, I just like the lisp. In that, she reminds me of a girl I had a friend-crush on in high school.

It would have been really exciting if Giada had actually appeared at your office.

So I was watching your girl today. I think I saw Todd. She made lunch, then packed it up and took it to the beach...with a boy. So sorry! I'm sure he's not as cool of a Todd as you though. :)
