Private Blogs

Last Friday night, I was enjoying some time with friends and the subject of blogs came up. Much to my detriment, I confessed that this blog was not my first one. I told the group that years ago I started a private blog where I would post and write out some pretty personal private thoughts. One of the girls in the room was quick to point out that such a "blog" was not a blog at all... but rather it is called a "journal". This then sparked much laughter at my expense for the fact that I had used cyber space as a journal... and I have to admit that I was left without excuse. I could not adequately defend myself in the least. So for all of you out there who have "private blogs", don't tell your friends about it.

And for the proverbial record... the laughter that ensued from the "journal" comment was led by me. So no feelings were hurt in the writing of this blog.

I couldn't not say it!

And let's face it...if I hadn't, Dinah would have.

Todd, it was priceless!! I think a private blog is great...I for one had NO intention of my blog becoming as public as it is, so private is GOOD! ;)

Please don't let that keep you from hanging out with us anymore. :) (like that would do it!)

Dovie, I love that! I am honored at the idea that I could have been so clever.

The funny thing is, as more and more people create blogs, there will be less and less time for people to read all of the blogs out there, so eventually all of our blogs will be private journals... :)

Hey blogs are the in thing. Apparently conversations about blogs is the other in thing since you and I were talking about it as well. BTW I am on the bandwagon too... my first blog is at http://bloggl.blogspot.com/

You're right gl, blogs are the in thing. That's why I'm working on a wiki. :-) By the way, it should be up (kind of) this weekend. Also, it's more of a blog/wiki as opposed to a pure wiki, so I guess I'm not really getting away from the trend. :-\
