But I...OK, didn't recognize the guy in the picture. But I saw the movie last night and it was SO AWESOME!! They toned downed the goofy parts from 1 and the love story from 2 and stuck with what everyone wanted to see, well at least me, which was some spectacular lightsaber battles and great action sequences. Can't wait to go see it again, but I think it will have to wait till after Guatemala.gLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18392629103488356517noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12706599.post-1116515224807048662005-05-19T10:07:00.000-05:002005-05-19T10:07:00.000-05:00Todd, you better see it soon, my friend. You are i...Todd, you better see it soon, my friend. You are in very real danger. For those of us who are really big fans (all the more so since I did see it last night), we are likely to freely discuss things that "have been known for a long time." Some of those are things that have always been part of the backstory, though not necessarily widely known.

Also, having read the books leading up and including Episode III, there's a lot I know that definitely helped me watch the movie and understand it better, and I've been willing to share that (as much as possible without giving away hidden plot points). I think the movie did a pretty good job, but the characters' thoughts add so much depth and complexity that will just never be captured in a movie like this. Memento and to some extent Dune are the only ones that have ever even tried to capture thoughts. It's hard to do well on the screen, and it's probably a good thing Lucas didn't try. :-)

It's a terrific movie, by the way. You need to go see it! If you don't go tonight, come over to my place. I'm watching the series finale of Smallville! :-) I would have watched it when I got home last night, but getting to bed at 4:30 and waking up at 7 (all while being sick) didn't seem the wisest thing. :-?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-12706599.post-1116511323014092552005-05-19T09:02:00.000-05:002005-05-19T09:02:00.000-05:00Okay, the picture is a little fuzzy, but do you re...Okay, the picture is a little fuzzy, but do you recognize who's dressed up as Obi-Wan?

http://www.freeimagehosting.net/
uploads/7c281f5e92.jpgJoelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07882713876450764093noreply@blogger.com
